Anji Biotech Reappoints Prof. Edouard Nice as Scientific Advisor

On March 25, 2022, Nanjing Anji Biotech Co., Ltd. held a scientific advisor appointment meeting in its conference room. At the meeting, Anji Biotech appointed Professor Edouard Nice as its scientific advisor. Dr. Hanmei Xu, the company's Chairman and Chief Scientist, formally presented the appointment certificate, and both parties reached a cooperation intention.

Professor Edouard Nice is Director of the Clinical Biomarker Discovery and Detection Center at Monash University, founder and former Vice President of the Australian Peptide Association, former Director of the Monash Antibody Technologies Facility (MATF), former Head of the Protein Biosensor Laboratory at the Ludwig Institute, and currently Co-Chair of the HUPO Pathology pillar and the Cancer Human Proteome Project (HPP); he is also leader of the Australian/New Zealand Chromosome 7 Project. His main research goal is to develop sensitive and specific analytical techniques to study the proteins, peptides and other metabolites involved in cancer biology, enabling early cancer diagnosis and treatment. He has published over 300 research papers in internationally renowned journals, with an H-index of 76 and more than 20,000 total citations (54 papers cited over 100 times), authored 19 books, filed multiple patents, and serves as Executive Editor of an internationally renowned journal.

ØIn August 2021, Dr. Hanmei Xu and Prof. Nice discussed the collaborative research on CAR-T cell therapy against solid tumors and reached a cooperation agreement, gradually advancing the collaboration.

ØIn December 2021, the CAR-T cell therapy against solid tumors project received government funding from the Nanjing International Joint R&D Project;

ØFrom 2019 to 2021, affected by the pandemic, Professor Edouard Nice cooperated with Nanjing Anji Biotech Co., Ltd. through online communication and delivered multiple online lectures for the company's technical team.

Based on this long-standing, solid cooperation, on March 25, 2022, Anji Biotech continued to appoint Professor Edouard Nice as its scientific advisor at the appointment meeting. At the meeting, Prof. Nice introduced the Human Proteome Organization and antibody-related research, and shared the latest global progress in proteomics for drug development. The company's technical team and Prof. Nice exchanged in-depth views on the latest results of the collaborative CAR-T cell therapy against solid tumors project. Finally, Dr. Hanmei Xu, Chairman and Chief Scientist, wished Prof. Nice and Anji Biotech even greater achievements in their cooperation, and the meeting concluded in a harmonious atmosphere.
