Founded in April 2012, Nanjing Anji Biotech Co., Ltd. is a biotech company focused on the research and development of innovative peptide drugs. It is located in Hongfeng Science & Technology Park of the National Nanjing Economic and Technological Development Zone. The company has been certified as a National High-tech Enterprise for four consecutive terms since 2015.

The company has always been committed to the development of original innovative peptide drugs, creating differentiated products driven by clinical and patient needs. It currently has more than 10 peptide drug pipelines under development, some of which are about to enter Phase II clinical trials, along with over a hundred reserve candidate peptide molecules spanning fields such as rheumatoid arthritis, oncology, pain, fibrosis, AMD and anti-aging. It has filed 210 invention patents in China and abroad, 90 of which have been granted.

Since peptides opened the modern path of biomedicine, frontier science has been rewriting the code of life. The landmark discovery that non-coding RNA encodes micropeptides has unlocked a treasure trove of novel targets. Backed by its two exclusive core technology platforms, the company conducts long-term, in-depth industrial strategic cooperation and joint platform development. With its globally leading endogenous micropeptide discovery technology, it has built a reserve of 25 novel functional micropeptides and a vast pool of first-in-class (FIC) original targets; leveraging China's exclusive STP-CADD intelligent design technology, it can rapidly produce nM-affinity targeting warheads suitable for R&D across all categories of PXC conjugated drugs.

Translational Cooperation

The company has the core capability to continuously generate FIC innovative peptide pipelines, holds a complete portfolio of independent intellectual property, and opens more than ten pipelines under development covering oncology, fibrosis and fundus diseases, jointly advancing clinical and industrial translation to help partners rapidly complete their innovative-drug portfolios.

Joint Development

Addressing the industry pain points of scarce targets and high risk in novel drug R&D, the company opens a full-chain joint development model covering customized targeted-peptide design, PXC conjugated drugs and co-development of endogenous micropeptide therapeutics. Customized R&D services — from molecular design, druggability optimization and efficacy validation to preclinical evaluation — can be tailored to partners' needs.
